Ramón Barúa Costa
Mr. Barúa is a graduate in Economics from the University of Lima and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School (Honors). Since 2018, he has specialized in critical materials, particularly rare earths, and is currently leading projects in various countries with the aim of sustainably producing these elements. Previously, he served for over 11 years as CFO of Hochschild Mining, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange. Mr. Barúa also led the Innovation and Diversification into Minerals of the Future efforts at Hochschild Mining. Previously, Ramon held various senior management positions at Cementos Pacasmayo and other companies within the Hochschild Group. He started his career in Debt Capital Markets at Deutsche Bank in New York, where he was a Vice President.
Francois Motte Sauter
10+ years of experience in various financial positions such as corporate finance, financial planning, management and control, business development and investor relations at Hochschild Mining. Francois graduated from Universidad de Lima with a Bachelor in Business Administration and holds a MSc in Innovation Management and Business Development from Aarhus University in Denmark.
Barry Murphy
30+ years of experience in the mining sector. Prior senior positions with Torex Gold Resources, Inc., Yamana Gold Inc. and Anglo American and has led technical services and project development teams in Chile, Perú, Argentina, México, and South Africa. Barry graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of South Africa.
Jose Augusto Palma G.
Mr. Palma served as Vice President of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Hochschild Mining plc since 2006 prior to joining Aclara. In this role, he lead and managed a multidisciplinary team of over 100 professionals in the legal, environmental, social relations, and institutional affairs departments of Hochschild Mining plc. Mr. Palma is a senior lawyer and executive, with more than 25 years of experience. He has successfully held key positions in demanding and high-profile roles across diverse sectors, including corporations, law firms, government, and multilateral institutions. Prior to his role at Hochschild, Mr. Palma worked as Senior Counsel at the World Bank from 2004 to 2006. During his tenure, he provided advice on the registration of arbitration cases. From 2002 to 2003, he served as Senior Advisor to the Office of the Prime Minister and as an advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance of Perú.
Nelson Donoso
Mr. Donoso is currently a board member and Vice President of the "Cámara de la Producción y del Comercio Biobío" (Biobio’s Chamber of Production and Commerce), the most important guild association in the Biobío Region, which brings together the main productive sectors, including more than 140 companies and trade associations. In this entity, he also serves as President for Clean Energy and Climate Change Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the Advisory Council of Biobio’s Regional Ministry of the Environment and of the Environmental Advisory Committee for the Regional Governor of Biobio. With 29 years of professional experience, Mr. Donoso has managed organizations focusing on safety, health and environmental matters. He has also led teams in the development of large-scale industrial energy transformation projects, as well as executed infrastructure projects for the transportation and regasification of natural gas.
Eduardo Hochschild
Mr. Hochschild has been Chairman of Hochschild Mining since 2006, and has over 30 years of experience in the extractive industries sector. Mr. Hochschild graduated from Tufts University, Boston with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics and mechanical engineering. He holds numerous board appointments, including as Chairman of Cementos Pacasmayo S.A.A and Non-Executive Chairman at non-profit organizations such as UTEC, TECSUP and the Institute of Contemporary Art and as Advisor to the Economic Counsel of the Conferencia Episcopal Peruana. Mr. Hochschild joined the Hochschild Group in 1987 as Safety Assistant at the Arcata unit, becoming Head of the Hochschild Mining Group in 1998.

Maria Olivia Recart
Mrs. Recart is a non-executive board member of CAP, a Chilean industrial conglomerate . She has extensive experience in Mining, having been 8 years (2010 – 2018) with BHP as VP of Corporate Affairs for the Americas, overseeing all operations in South and North America. She is a former Vice Minister of Finance (2006 and 2010) with an active leadership role in the entrance of Chile into the OECD. In different parts of her career Mrs. Recart worked in education ; first in K-12 bringing innovation and management expertise (1998-2004), and then as the Dean of one of the biggest Universities in Chile (Universidad Santo Tomás) between 2019 – 2022. Mrs. Recart holds a Master in Economics degree from Georgetown University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Concepcion.
Catharine Farrow
Dr. Farrow is a director of Franco-Nevada Corporation. She is a Registered Professional Geoscientist (PGO) with more than 25 years of mining industry experience. She also serves as a Director of Centamin Plc and of Eldorado Gold Corporation and is active in the mining industry in both private companies and academia. From 2012 to 2017 she was Founding CEO, Director and Co-Founder of TMAC Resources Inc. Dr. Farrow has served on the Board of a number of not-for-profit and government Advisory Boards. She has been honoured as one of the 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining (2015 and 2018) and is a past recipient of the William Harvey Gross Medal of the Geological Association of Canada (2000) and the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Acadia Alumni Association (2020). Dr. Farrow obtained her BSc (Hons) from Mount Allison University, her MSc from Acadia University and her PhD from Carleton University. She also holds the ICD.D designation.
Paul Adams
Mr. Adams has been a non-executive director of Rolls Royce, a board member of OC Oerlikon Corporation AG, Pfäffikon and Aerion Corp. and a senior advisor to VulcanForms, Inc. Mr. Adams has deep experience across the aerospace industry and in engine manufacturing in particular, gained from over 30 years of leadership experience in the aviation industry. Mr. Adams has spent much of his career with Pratt & Whitney where he held various senior management roles including Chief Operating Officer before serving as President until 2016. He was Chief Operating Officer at Precision Castparts, the world’s largest supplier of aerospace metal, castings and forgings until 2018. Mr. Adams gained a degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan and in 2013 was inducted to the National Academy of Engineering, Washington DC.
Sanjay Sarma
Mr. Sanjay is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He also currently serves as board member of Top Flight Technologies and G1S US and edX, the entity set up by MIT and Harvard to facilitate the distribution of free online education worldwide. Until October 2021, Mr. Sanjay was an independent non-executive director of Hochschild Mining. His previous professional experience includes being the founder and Chief Technology Officer of OAT Systems (subsequently acquired by Checkpoint Systems) and has worked at Schlumberger Oilfield Services.
Nicolas Hochschild
Mr. N. Hochschild is Hochschild Mining's Corporate Business Development Manager. He previously worked for 3 years as an M&A Associate at Forum Brands, an Ecommerce focused Private Equity firm, where he helped the company scale from 3 to >120 employees. He is a board member for UTEC (Peruvian non-profit University) and served on Hochschild Mining's board prior to joining the company in a full time capacity. He has served as Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Credit Suisse and JP Morgan and he holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
Joao Miranda
Mr. Miranda served as CEO of the Votorantim Group for over six years until May 2020, and as CFO for nearly five years prior to that. During his tenure, he also served as a Board Member of several companies within the Votorantim group, such as Fibria, Nexa, Citrosuco, Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio, and Votorantim Cimentos, where he chaired the Board for over two years. Before his time at Votorantim, Mr. Miranda held executive positions at Citibank, where he was CEO of the Chilean operations for two years and Vice President of Global Banking in Brazil for another two years. He also served as an executive director at ING bank. Currently, Mr. Miranda holds a position as a Board Member of Fundação Parceiros da Educação, a Brazilian nonprofit organization that supports education for students in socially vulnerable contexts.
Jorge Born
Mr. Born worked at Bunge, a global leader in agribusiness headquartered in Brazil until 2001, for over 30 years, holding various positions, including CEO and board member for over 10 years. During his last 12 years with Bunge, from 2001 to 2013, Mr. Born served as the Deputy Chairman and Lead Independent Director, chairing the central risk and finance management committee of the board of directors. Mr. Born is also the founder and Executive President of Consult y Asociados S.A., a private M&A boutique company focused on developing opportunities with multinational companies in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. In addition, Mr. Born has served as a non-executive director at Hochschild Mining PLC since 2006 and has been a Board Member of Caldenes Agropecuaria from 1997 to 2020.
Eduardo Landin
Mr. Landin has been the CEO and executive director of Hochschild Mining since August 29, 2023. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Landin joined Hochschild Mining in 2008 as General Manager of Argentinian operations, and subsequently served as General Manager of Projects in 2011 and COO in2013. These past roles with the company included taking direct responsibility for the development of the Inmaculada and Crespo Advanced Projects. Prior to joining Hochschild Mining, Mr.Landin held the position of Corporate Development Manager at Cementos Pacasmayo, an associate company of the Hochschild Group, and, prior to that, served at the Government of Peru's Ministry of Energy and Mines and worked for Repsol S.A. in England, Spain and Peru for over ten (10) years. Mr. Landin is a British Chartered Mechanical Engineer and holds a B.Eng (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, London, and an Executive MBA from the Universidad de Piura, Peru. He is also a Fellow of the British Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
