Activities at the Carina Project
Aclara has partnered with a local school in Nova Roma to recognize top-performing students in the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) program. This initiative helps prepare students for Aclara's professional training opportunities, strengthening the local workforce for future employment.
In January 2025, representatives from Aclara, the Nova Roma City Hall, and the Goiano Federal Institute met to establish a partnership for a technical mining course tailored to the needs of the Carina Project. This initiative aims to provide specialized training for the city's residents.
Aclara is proud to join Women in Mining Brasil, an initiative transforming Brazil's mining industry by promoting respect, inclusion, and support for women at all levels. It empowers women's expertise, excellence, and innovation while fostering diverse workplaces.
November 2024: Aclara received the Mineral Sector Company of the Year award from Brasil Mineral magazine, one of the most recognized publications in the sector in the country.
Aclara won the Foreign Direct Investment category at the Melhores dos Negócios Internacionais 2024 awards, recognizing its role in boosting Brazil’s global standing in exports, sustainability, and foreign investment. Winners were selected by a panel including ApexBrasil, Exame, MDIC, and MRE representatives.
In November 2024, the Aclara team introduced the Supplier Development Program to business leaders, traders, and entrepreneurs in Nova Roma and surrounding communities. Additionally, Aclara initiated an assessment and action plan designed to stimulate business growth, employment, and economic opportunities in the region.
Activities at the Penco Module
Casa Aclara in Penco, is a space created to encourage an open dialogue and to provide training for our neighbors. We received over 7,000 visitors in 2024.
Weekly visits to the Aclara project site for neighbors to ask questions about the project, get to know the team and learn about the local fauna and flora. We had over 120 visitors in 2024.
Practical course for Penco leaders in alliance with “Fundación Trascender”, focused on teaching how to formulate projects that promote positive changes in the community.
Aclara organized a specialized course for residents of Penco who were interested in becoming certified in forklift operation techniques. This training aimed to enhance their employability by providing hands-on experience and technical knowledge in a skill that is highly sought after in various industries.
Aclara’s Local Suppliers Program identifies and strengthens local businesses, building sustainable partnerships. With 44 active suppliers, it boosts the regional economy and enhances the supply chain through reliable, community-driven solutions.
Aclara empowers women in Penco through Casa Aclara workshops on leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation, and a training program that builds skills for safe, efficient work across industries. This promotes economic independence and professional growth, with 55 participants in 2024.
This program introduces students in Penco and nearby areas to rare earth elements and their applications through hands-on learning at Casa Aclara’s science room. Over 200 students have participated, exploring their role in future technologies and industries.
In 2024, Casa Aclara’s Competitive Robotics Workshops trained 60 students aged 11-15, building technical and creative skills for competitions. Two Penco students won 1st place in the 'Online Tracker' category at Robomatrix Continental Junior in Mexico.
This hands-on workshop focused on planning and managing crops based on the lunar calendar. Through theoretical and practical sessions at Casa Aclara, participants learned simple techniques for cultivating key plant species, fostering self-sustainability, community engagement, and respect for natural cycles.
